Today the FCC<\/a> adopted new rules for governing the Internet in the United States.\u00a0 These rules will protect and insure a open and neutral<\/a> Internet. The FCC\u2019s Open Internet Order<\/a> contains the following rules.<\/p>\n

  1. No Blocking;<\/li>\n
  2. No Throttling;<\/li>\n
  3. No Paid Prioritization;<\/li>\n
  4. Standard for Future Conduct;<\/li>\n
  5. Greater Transparency;<\/li>\n
  6. Reasonable Network Management;<\/li>\n
  7. Interconnection;<\/li>\n
  8. Reclassification of broadband Internet access service as a telecommunications service under Title II;<\/li>\n
  9. Major Provisions of Title II that the Order WILL APPLY:\n
      \n
    1. No unjust or unreasonable practices or discrimination,<\/li>\n
    2. Allows investigation of consumer complaints,<\/li>\n
    3. Protects consumer privacy,<\/li>\n
    4. Ensures fair access to poles and conduits by providers,<\/li>\n
    5. Protects people with disabilities,<\/li>\n
    6. Bolsters universal service fund support for broadband service in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
